Setting our communities

free from poverty

St Andrew’s Community Network is a Liverpool-based charity who provide advice and support to people facing poverty.

We offer community-based debt and welfare benefits advice, host North Liverpool Foodbank and run a network of community food spaces to build financial resilience and food security throughout our communities.

Our team are here to help. If you need our support, please get in touch.

What We Do

North Liverpool Foodbank

The Network hosts North Liverpool Foodbank in partnership with Trussell, running 10 foodbank centres to provide emergency food to people in crisis across Liverpool.

Before you go to a foodbank, you’ll need to get a foodbank voucher. All the information and details on where to get a voucher are on the North Liverpool Foodbank website.

If you need support or would like to make a food donation, please visit the North Liverpool Foodbank website.

Money Advice

We provide in-person debt advice and welfare benefits advice to people going through a tough time with their finances.

Our debt advisors help people find the most suitable debt solution for their situation and offer additional support with budgeting and managing expenditure. Our benefits advisors support people through the whole process of claiming benefits, checking what they are entitled to claim, helping with application forms and supporting through the appeals process when appropriate.

If you need advice, fill in the form below to get in touch with our team.

Angels Connect

Angels Connect builds on our over 20 years experience delivering community-based money advice.

The programme trains community members to give specified guidance and connect people to free, impartial, face-to-face money advice in their local area. Our web-based training and regularly updated resources portal is available on an annual subscription basis to organisations looking to support change in their own communities.

Find out more and book a demo on the Angels Connect website.

Community Food Spaces

Our Community Food Spaces, or food pantries, support those in longer-term food insecurity. The Network coordinates 8 community food spaces, 7 in partnership with Your Local Pantry, providing fresh and healthy food to people across our communities at a more affordable cost.

If you’d like to join a pantry, find your local one here or via the button below.

Volunteering

Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. Across the Network, over 350 people give their time, energy and skills to supporting those in need across Liverpool.

We’d love to have you join the team! There’s lots of different roles, including van drivers and admin support. Click here to find Liverpool-based volunteering opportunities across our Network.
